Fall/ Winter 2011

Before the snow came, we hurried up to the mountains to see the pretty fall leaves.  We went on a walk at Silver Lake and played around in the mountains.

The cute little baby usually gets most of the camera time.  He is really close to walking on his own.   We call this outfit his "baller outfit".  He just looks like a "playa"

I had to take this picture of him in his pumpkin costume.  Every one of my kids has warn this costume and has taken this exact picture.  It is so fun to see them side by side and how much they look a like at that age.
Carson of course wanted to carve a U into his pumpkin.  He carved some other crazy thing on the back, but I have no idea what it was suppose to be.  Abby carved a peace sign in hers.  That girl is obsessed.  She loves Peace Signs.  She got a new bedspread for her birthday this year and we repainted her room.  Everything is peace signs, including the huge one in the middle of her bed.  They are all over her room, her clothes and everything she owns really.  Cooper just loved carving his pumpkin on his own.  He ended up with a typical jack-o-lantern with a little help.
Grandma gave the kids Halloween pajama pants. And don't forget the crazy eyes and vampire teeth.

We had our annual Family Halloween Party.  The "Vegas" Grundys were in town.  It was fun having more more people and don't think that it didn't get a little competitive.  The boys kept track of the points for each game on the big white board and awarded an overall winner.  We had Jack-o-lantern face pizza and everyone went home a wiener. . i meant winner.
Halloween night, we made our witches brew and clam chowder and sent the kids out the door.  Abby was in heaven because this was the first year she could go with her friends without her dad right by her.  She feels like this is a major stepping stone. Cooper and Carson were troopers.  They hung in there all night and made it to tons of houses before crashing.

Carson was able to go to his first Utah Football game with his dad and Grandpa.  It was a pretty cold game, but he had tons of fun and came home doing some of the cheers.

Into December. . . Bo is ONE!!  Wow!  This year went faster than ever!  I still feel like he is my brand new baby and I'm afraid I always will.  It was a little weird having a birthday in December but we managed to make it fun.  He LOVES Mickey Mouse!  So, he was really excited when he got his Rockin' Roll Mickey that sings and dances.  He was so funny dancing with it and everything.  He loved his first birthday cake, but it was a little uneventful.   He ate it, made a little bit of a mess, but nothing crazy.  He was more interested in holding a spoon with frosting.  He ended the night all cleaned up, wearing his new Mickey pajamas and surrounded by his new Mickey toys.

Boden has been such a blessing to our family.  He is so sweet and he has those loving eyes!  We are so thankful for him and we are excited for many more birthdays.
