Merry Christmas ! Ok, I know it has been awhile. This four kid thing really keeps me busy. To catch up, we had a wonderful Christmas. It was so special having Bo here for the holidays. He was so fun, and definitely the center of attention. He loved to sit under the tree and look at the lights. I was able to spend a lot of quiet time with him as Chad ran the kids here and there for holiday activities. Chad was also able to take a lot of time off work because we went from having the baby, right into Christmas. It was such a blessing to have him home with us for so long and it really made for a Christmas I will never forget.
Having a new baby brother really changed nothing for the kids. They didn't skip a beat getting ready for Santa to come.
As usual, we spent Christmas eve with Chad's family. We had dinner, opened our Christmas jammies, read stories and ended with a prayer. It was so nice having the "whole family" in town at the same time.
Christmas morning was awesome! I love watching my kids open presents, they are really the most animated people in the world and they always make me laugh with the unexpected things they say.
Carson was excited about EVERYTHING! Yes, even the whoppers he got in his stocking. He just couldn't believe how amazing the day was.
Cooper just followed suit behind Carson. He was so excited about everything, and he didn't really know what was going to happen next.
Abby was adorable. She just really loves all of the little things. She makes sure that we don't miss anything and that we don't forget any of our traditions. She looks forward to every little thing.
We tried stuffing Bo into his stocking just for a picture. It was pretty funny because he barely fit. I think it was worth it.
He was sporting a mohawk during the holidays. Mostly because his hair was going in all directions, and this was the only way it would seem controlled.
The kids got all dressed up in their new clothes for church. We had a great holiday and we feel so loved and blessed. We are so thankful that everything went well with Bo, even though we had a couple little scares. In the end, he is here, we are all healthy and happy and extremely thankful for all of the blessing in our lives. As I suspected, it is really a neat experience to have a child at this time of year. It definitely puts things into perspective and we continue to count our blessings everyday.
