I don't know about everyone else around here, but we were completely snowed in for awhile on Sunday morning! And amazingly enough... they even canceled CHURCH! Honestly! And, we live right around the corner from the church, it is not like we hardly have to drive to the building.
I guess a lot of people were getting stuck all throughout the neighborhood, just in their

driveways, so they called it a "snow day" and canceled all of the meetings at our building. I am not complaining at all. In related news...Chad was just released from being the Elder's Quorum President after three and a half years. I know that it has been a blessing in our lives, but I was not complaining about that either. This all happened on the same day, and to be honest with you, I think it was one of the best days so far this year!
Here are some pictures of our snowed in house. This is our back door.
And here is our back yard. So, if you think about it... this is what a lot of our neighbors' front yards and driveways looked like in the morning.

Well, it
was SuperBowl Sunday (GO GIANTS!) And that was the first thing on our minds, so we ended up digging ourselves out and went to the Grundys for a little party. Before the game

started, the kids (big and small) needed to see what damage they could do in all of the new snow. So here are Chad and his brothers in the cave that they built, while they used the kids as an excuse to play in the snow. In fact, I'm pretty sure the kids made their way in long before the big boys.

And I had to just add this picture because I thought it was cute. (of course a mom would).
Carson crashed pretty early from all of the excitement.

Wow! That snow cave is awesome!
One of the best days of the year...? You mention so many reasons why, but somehow fail to mention that it was my birthday! Which is probably why the day was so amazing to begin with. A simple thank you or acknowlegement would be nice every once and awhile.
Aw. What a cute picture with everyone in the cave! I agree, this snow is out of control. Up in Logan, the piles of snow next to the sidewalks are so huge you feel like your walking through tunnels. Spring anyone....?
I love the picture in the cave. So cool. I can't believe the snow you guys are getting. Out here they cancel chruch if we have snow flurry's. I think the whole state of Indy would close if we got snow like you guys do. Stay warm in all that snow.
I'm ready for spring too. I was kind of getting grumpy reading your post because I am so SICK of the snow, but then I saw Carson sleeping, and it made it all better:)
P.S. Wow, a comment from Colby. That's impressive. Even if he was scolding you... still impressive:)
Love, Amy
Ummm, I'd love to feel sorry for ya, but our last "snow" day, as mentioned in our blog, was due to the chips of ice falling from the sky. No matter what kind of spin you put on it, no cute pix come out of it (except ones of your brother, which are underappreciated by his 'lil sis) :) You are getting snow like we get in NY!!!
Kelly and Chad, I just found your blog thru a friend in our ward who is friends with Justin and Amy. Anyways, I love how blogging keeps people in touch(especially those we don't see very often). I didn't really get to tell you congrats about the baby when I saw you at Costco. It will all be over pretty soon though, good luck. I just barely started blogging myself, you can check out our blog at maynardmaddness-dandt.blogspot.com. Hope to see you soon. Tracie
Hey, remember me, you have such a cute family, I love to check your blog once and a while. Take care.
Hey I heard you had your baby, Congrats. It's always nice when they come early. Hope to see him soon. And all of you of course. Love the Maynards
